What I liked I liked that as the book was being read the special effects were still functional and didn't interfere with the storytelling. The graphics were well done, as well as the various special effects chosen for each page. I also liked the different games that were offered at the end of the reading, the sound effects, and matching the pumpkins.

Improvements lower the interim music at the end of the readings, what was the purpose of the trick or treat? option, increase difficulty of the pumpkin match game instead of offering one match, increase how many to match, offer a brief as you go tutorial.

General review The app was a great holiday option to share with children. The story was similar to the popular story in style. The various activities offered at the end of the story were engaging and different in style. The graphics in the app were good as well as the various sound effects and special effects.

What I liked This is a very fun and interactive story that is perfect for young children. The artwork and sound effects are very well done and my daughter enjoys playing with all of the different hidden objects. There are extra activities in addition to the story which help make this app a bargain for .99. There are no up sells or ads and it is nice to be able to turn the music and narration off and on.

Improvements I think that the organization of the app could be improved. I don't like the fact that I have to go through the entire story each time in order to get to the activities. Putting everything on the home screen would help even if the activities had to be "unlocked" the first time. The navigation tool on the bottom covers up some of the words even when it is minimized. Sometimes it gets stuck on a page and won't let you continue without starting over.

General review This app is a fun Halloween story that is an excellent value with lots of bonus activities. It makes a nice sugar free Halloween treat. My daughter really likes trying to find all of the hidden interactive objects while she listens to the story. The sound effects and artwork are excellent but the navigation could be a little better.

What I liked I loved the take off of the classic. The animations and sounds were great. The music throughout the app and the story was great. The story was silly. I was able to use it to work on predictive skills and answering wh questions with a student with autism.

Improvements I would like the ability to turn the music off. It sometimes became distracting. If I turned the music off and then back on, it started to read the page again when I didn't necessarily want to do that - if there was a way to change it, that would be great. If additional animations could be added, that would make it even better!

General review This is a cute and highly engaging app for children. The take off of the classic story provided a familiar context for children but the Halloween part was new and exciting. The sounds and animations helped to keep the children engaged in this silly story.

What I liked This is a Halloween book with a cute spin on a classic Christmas tale. I shared it with my grandsons who are 2 and 4. They enjoyed the story and the touchscreen features that added Halloween sounds and light up pictures. There are also some games at the end of the book. The sound app. was their favorite app.

Improvements While this is a very cute story, the animation is lacking. The story drags and it was hard to keep my grandson interested in the whole store. I would like more animation and maybe a place where the kids could insert a picture of themselves

General review This is overall a cute app with a fresh twist on a trational story. It's very affordable app. With more animation and more controll over the sound board. I would love to see this story become a yearly tradition at Halloween with my grandsons.

What I liked I liked the concept of the story as it was a parody of sorts on Twas a Night Before Christmas. The graphics of this interactive book were also well done. The story itself was funny and engaging. I also liked the interactive ability of the story too .

Improvements Overall, I really enjoyed the app/book. However, since it is supposed to be an interactive book, I would like to have seen the parts in the book which you are supposed to interact with do more. For instance, when you touch a character I would have liked for it to be spooky, or jump around, something other than just make a small sound.

General review Overall, I really enjoyed the book and the story. The kids really enjoyed the sounds and the interaction they could have with the story. I would have like for the interaction to be a little bit more than just a sound, but it is done pretty well. Although this is for halloween this is one that I will keep on my bookshelf to read with the kids throughout the year.
