What I liked Fantastic app that encourages children's to practice their Maths skills while having fun. Enjoyed by preschooler and school aged girls and can imagine boys would adore it. A sound variety of maths skills means that this app is approoriate to a large playing age group.
Great graphics and music. Realistic sound effects added to the delight of the racing child.
Child enjoyed that if you turn iPad off/exit app it starts you back mid race where you left off.

Improvements Layout felt like it needed a few tweaks. The "More Games" icon is where's logically think the start race icon should be. Same issue in the New Race section, the "Race" button should be where the "Maths Options" button is. I enjoy being able to explore developers other apps particularly a quality developer such as this one but would prefer the option to be in a corner so child doesnt continually access the AppStore.
Would be great if questions were slightly larger for kids to read quicker. Also a choice of vehicles or even just colour of them would add to appeal, especially for girls.

General review Brilliant app that is fun and entertaining for children over a wide age group. Educational aspect is fantastic and have seen an improvement in my girls Maths skills already. Actually has children enjoying what can be boring Maths drills. Even caught Daddy having a go!

What I liked From the moment I opened this app I fell in love with it! It's the perfect math practice app for my boys who love car racing games. I like how it blends a popular game genre (car racing) with math. To power up the car or speed up, you must answer a math question correctly. You can choose the level of difficulty as well as which math concepts you want to work on. There's basic equations, percents, rounding, etc. You can either have auto steering or you can steer the car yourself by using the ipad as a steering wheel.

Improvements There is nothing that I didn't like about this app. I truly enjoyed this one and think that everything is very well done. The only thing I could suggest is maybe a reward system for completing the race whether they end up first, second, or third. It could be a trophy or medal collection, or perhaps after a certain number of races completed, a token to play free-style (without having to do any math).

General review I really love this app! It is one of the best apps I have come across for math drills or practice. It includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rounding up, percents, counting up, counting down, greater than, and less than. You can even choose which numbers to practice and what level. Car racing is appealing to both boys and girls and this app, I believe, is worth more than it's price!

What I liked The race car theme is appealing to boys. The option to turn on and off the sound is helpful. I liked the option to select the different math operations and levels and the idea of challenging the students with a speed boost if they are successful.

Improvements In a future version, I would like to see crisper type. I'd also like to see additional space between the bottom of the screen and the race car. I'd like to see the option for students to customize the design of their race car with their first name, favorite number and colors.

General review I think that for boys, this app might be appealing. The race car theme would engage them in the basic operations, customized for their level by parents and teachers. As students increase their skills, the levels motivate them to continue to practice.

What I liked This is such a fun and interactive way to target problem solving! I had a great time trying to beat my own score and answer problem as quickly as I could! The graphics are clear and the concept is innovative! I think everyone loves a car driving task and this allows that to be utilized while trying to focus and complete core areas of math curriculum! I love that there isn't a huge push on the negative. I appreciate that the only thing that occurs is a red X and the vehicle slowing down. I appreciate the different levels the user can participate in.

Improvements I had multiple instances where I answered one or two questions incorrectly on purpose and I was not able to win the race. I had one instance where I had all questions answered correctly and the same result occurred. If there is a connection between winning the race and answering questions, then the user without error should win over computerized opponents. I also had a few moments where I got stuck on the wall while completing problems and I had no way of maneuvering away from it. The only thing that I could think of to improve is separating out the levels by grade instead of subjectively.

General review I love the interactive approach to problem solving! This is an app that contains a component of fun while the user is striving for educational perfection. The more right answers, the greater the chance of winning the race! With simplicity of problems to complexity, the challenge is there for children of all ages! I would recommend this app for those seeking an app that is fun and appropriate for those working through a math curriculum.

What I liked 3D Math Racing PRO originally appealed to me because it combines the excitement of racing, 3D computer games and math practice. After playing it and watching students play, I like the ability to set levels of difficult in the math. The race elements definitely make the game more interesting than traditional practice of math problems. I am not sure how long it would motivate students, but the ones I showed it to in a remedial math class had fun with it.

Improvements The game needs to better integrate the practice and learning with the action. The success in the race depends on how quickly and accurately the user answers the multiple choice math problems. It took less than one race before I felt these two aspects are very unrelated.

The race feels tacked on. I see for students it's better than just a speed test, but I doubt it will sustain them for long. My son (7th grade) only played less than five games before the excitement wore off. A ninth grader predicted he'd enjoy it 10 times.

The option to steer and do the math is as impossible as it sounds.

General review I think the app would be better than just traditional practice on a worksheet for elementary through middle school, but the race elements are tacked on and will eventually wear off. The options to set math problem difficulty can be used to increase the challenge, but it appears this must be done manually. Students at the same skill level in math might enjoy competing for places in the race, but they do not actually race each other in the game.
