What I liked First of all, I love the backgrounds in this app. They are creative and always in motion instead of just a solid colored background. I also really liked the ability to customize the tilt sensitivity so I can set it higher and I have to barely turn it to move. Another thing I liked was that you can earn a gold, silver, or bronze medal on each level so you get a feel of how good you are doing. I also like how skipping levels isn't free like it is in the app "Cut the Rope".

Improvements I would like to see in-app purchases for coins in the game. People who want to skip levels, but are out of coins would have to buy more. I also think powerups should be incorporated such as 10 second vacuum/cat immunity. There should also be a store where you an buy these powerups with coins. This would also promote the in-app purchases. I also didn't like the virtual hamster cage on this app. It seems irrelevant and boring. To make it a bit more exciting you could feed the hamsters daily to earn coins. I also think there should be a video tutorial section of this app to teach you how to play.

General review This is a very well thought out app with carefully designed levels to make them more difficult. There are a couple of fun features that could be added to the app to get a more fun experience such as a store for coins, or an improved virtual hamster cage. Other than that the app has worked perfectly for me and it can get to be very addictive!

What I liked Fun app full of interesting challenges. Jokes are entertaining even if very cheesy. The control of settings for sensitivity and ability to skip or repeat levels makes this a family friendly app. High quality app with loads of levels for an incredibly inexpensive price.

Improvements Would like to see a greater variety of music, the current music is enjoyable for first few levels but soon becomes grating. Would also like the ability to contact the developer without using social media. The colour variance of the light brown to dark brown hamsters could be better if the variance was increased or a totally different colour.

General review Fantastic app that is loads of fun for all the family. Provided amusement for onlookers as well as those playing it. Good progressions in difficulty in the levels with a variety of challenges to prevent app from becoming boring. Well priced app that is actually inexpensive for the amount of levels and quality of app. Definite winner in our household.

What I liked Hamster Chase is a wonderfully designed app created to challenge the mind and have fun while playing as well. I enjoyed going through the various levels, each level did get progressively harder, which is another feature I enjoyed. I like that the person playing receives a trophy depending on how fast they finish the level and they also receive a correlating amount of gold coins; Gold (3), Silver (2), Bronze (1). I also like that it lets you set records and attempt to break your own records if you play the game more than one time. The game is a lot of fun all around.

Improvements My wish list for the app:
A help button for children playing who cannot figure the puzzle; It would be nice if it highlighted the path for a moment and then it went away.
I would also like it if the coins could buy something other than skipping a level, such as stopping the cat from pouncing. Maybe a better hamster ball, something that would make the player feel a little more in control of the game.
I do not like that you can go right to FB/twitter, even though you can shut it off in settings but for safety, I would like if it had to held it down for a few seconds before it went off the app.

General review I love that you move the iPad around in order to move the hamster ball around each level. I think this is a great thing to play while working on hand/eye coordination. I think this app is a wonderful app for children and I love that it gives you the ability to skip a level if it is too hard, select a level which gives you the ability to unlock every level you beat so that you can go back and play again. Overall, I think it is a great app!

What I liked I am addicted to this game. I love a challenge and I love problem solving games and this one has had me stumped on more than one occasion! Great job! During my upload of the videos, I spent time playing the game and going back to previous levels that stumped me initially. I love that you have the opportunity to gain coins after you complete a level better than a previous attempt. I think having that knowledge would be a great asset to game play. Like mentioned in the video, I like that this app works on fine motor skills, problem solving, hand-eye coordination and matching!

Improvements I would like to see more instructions for game play. I know it is pretty obvious what the point is, but the picture symbols are a bit confusing. The initial hamster and the hamster after the = sign look to be the same to me. I don't know if a simple "no" symbol after the equal sign, or a different symbol entirely would help to understand the "danger" of the cat, or of the holes, etc. as the user is playing the game. The levels starting out are fairly tricky. I haven't worked through many of them quite yet, but depending on that, the age of play might be teen/adult only! =)

General review This is a terrific app with a lot of great potential. It is a fun/engaging app that leaves the user wanting to conquer level after level. I find this to be a great app working on a number of different skills through the use of a hamster, cat, and maze. I love the ability to skip levels based on coins that have been earned when the user is incredibly stumped; however, save up those coins because the difficulty increases with every level!!!!

What I liked This has graphics that are appropriate for even small children to "play" and they are very family friendly. The music is fun and up-beat which would also entice small children. It is probably going to also work as a family game as a small child will need help past the first couple of levels. I really appreciated the button that let me try the level again when I got stuck and yet I didn't have to start over or only get a certain number of lives and then start over.

Improvements I would like to have it not require so much movement to be used - some yes - but as my teenager said you would look crazy doing this where others see you. The other main problem I have is that it needs to be made for children or "older kids/adults" as the theme and graphics are for young kids but the skill needed to complete most levels are not little kid friendly.Go with more 3D and not a hamster/cats etc. and add some tutorials in and you may have the interest of the older target group. I would also like to have an option to do it with my fingers vs. motion-a small child would have success

General review I think this has potential as a family app as smaller children will like the idea of the hamsters, however, older children will find it not very exciting to play a video game with hamsters in balls. This game requires gaming skills of an older child/adult to pass successfully onto the different levels and not be frustrated.

What I liked The app was a fun spin on a puzzle game that my eight year old really enjoyed. The graphics and the appeal of the cute hamsters made her more willing to play the app, because she normally does not like puzzle games. I liked the tilt control and ability to be able to control features in the settings.

Improvements I did not like how the app had settings that went to Facebook and Twitter. If I connect an app to one of those accounts and give that much control, I need to know why I am connecting the accounts. That was never made clear anywhere in the app. The extra features part was entertaining, but it was only one feature. I would have liked more extras, maybe a video or something where you could interact with the hamsters more.

General review The app was a very entertaining gaming app. My child enjoyed it, and the appeal of the hamsters enticed her to play the game. The game made her think logically to solve the mazes, and the tilt control of the app was fun to use. I believe that an extra feature and explanation of how connecting your Facebook and Twitter accounts would enhance the game would have been helpful.

What I liked My five year old is addicted to this game. She asks me almost every day to play Hamster Chase. On Thursday of this week, I popped into the lunchroom while she was there with her classmates (I work in the adjoining middle school) she conned me into playing the game a couple of minutes for her friends! I like how the game combines motor-control and problem solving skills. The menu is also great for keeping track of progress.

Improvements It might be helpful to have an option to have auditory commands/instructions for young users. In several cases, my daughter was frustrated with a level not because see found it too difficult but because she did not understand the object of the level. I would also like to see the "sharing" options made a bit smaller. It is too easy for a child to accidentally share their latest score on her daddy's work Twitter feed :0). Perhaps an action to even lock the sharing feature in menu settings?

General review A wonderful app that combines hand-eye coordination, fine-motor and problem-solving skills. My five year old loves this app and begs to play it every day - in fact she is pestering me to give her my iPad right now. We have not discovered any bugs or problems of any kind with the app. Impressive that this app is able to be challenging enough not to be boring without being so difficult as to be frustrating ... for a five year old.

What I liked I enjoyed this app as it used a cute hamster game to teach critical thinking skills and practice on fine motor skills. I liked that the features, (main menu, volume, music speed) were easy to access and gave you a lot of control in your play. I liked that you could "best" your score. Someone that is keen on this type of game play could easily get lost in play to try and see how high of a level they could reach. The hamster cage special features area was very cute and a nice stress reliever.

Improvements There would be 2 areas of interest that I would love to see focused on for the next update. First would be the access to Facebook and Twitter. I would like to see a little more parental control for those features. For myself, a child under 13 legally should not have a Facebook account, so it is not a relevant feature. Second, you earned coins for completing each level but there wasn't a purpose for them. I would love to be able to earn coins and then buy accessories for my hamsters in the hamster cage special features area.

General review This is a very fun and useful app. It has unlimited potential in the special needs groups, as it helps with fine motor and critical thinking skills. If a child get frustrated, you can take some time out in the hamster cage special features area. The design and function buttons were well thought out. This game reminded me of the game we played as a child trying to get the little steel ball in the right place in the maze.

What I liked I liked the challenging puzzles in this app. I found it refreshing that the task frequently changed. What I thought was just a maze became a task of avoiding holes, and then changed again to battling a cat. The visual instructions were the best! No reading skills needed and no language issues to address.

Improvements In future versions I would like to see more uses for the coins earned. I enjoy mastering the leveled challenges and would never use my coins to skip a level. I would like to use reward coins to personalize my hamsters in some ways or gain an additional skill to make the challenge easier.

General review This is a fun leveled game in which your success unlocks different challenges. This game uses a the tilt of the device to move the hamsters through mazes and traps and predators. It requires a keen eye, well thought out movements, and awarenss of body position to succeed at this challenging game.
