What I liked I really like to clean simple look of this application. It is important to have it an uncluttered organized appearance for the purposes of this app and I think you did it! I do like that you included real images for your stock photos it would be nice to have more to choose from that pertain to daily activities!

Improvements I do not like that you can't choose the orientation of the routine either horizontal or vertical. I have students you prefer a vertical orientation over horizontaland sometimes that can make all the difference in the world. Also I was a little confused when I was establishing a routine when it prompted me to "add a choice," a choice board is very different from a visual routine board . This app is a great idea but it is not user-friendly and I found it confusing editing routines or simply completing a routine. I suggest that a clear check be added to show that a task was completed by each.

General review This app is a great idea and could be very useful to a lot of families. It's not as user-friendly as I would like, but it is an affordable price. I do like that it is simple and clean looking which is great for a visual schedule, because there aren't a lot of other distractions!

What I liked This app has a very simple and easy to understand interface for setting up a visual routine or schedule. I really like that it allows for auditory prompts as well for those individuals who cannot read. The ability to check off items as they are competed is also great and a must for this kind of app. I was able to set up a routine with no instructions! Clean, easy and well thought out design!

Improvements One thing that this app doesn't have is the ability to include a short video as part of the steps in the routine. I know a few other apps that have this feature but the interface isn't as nice, so I would love to have this app include video modeling as well! Increasing the number of stock photos would also be a great thing!

General review This app allows you to easily set up a visual routine for an individual to help increase their independence in following through with a task. The customizations are well thought out and include the ability to use your own photos as well as record auditory prompt for non-readers. I would love to see the addition of video modeling and perhaps more stock images to choose from.

What I liked I like the overall look of Visual Routine. The nice and clean blackboard has some great detail in the wood borders and rounded corners to make it visually appealing. The buttons are well laid out. The sound effect are minimalistic, which I liked, but it was also nice to have the option to turn them off. Many children with special needs would benefit form the option to turn off “Show completed Routines” as it may help them focus on whats next.

Improvements For editing:
1) Confusing having to to add the items THEN click on picture, audio, or choice. Make separation cleared or faster adding method
2) Add pictures needs 'resize'. Cropped prior then some of my pics were rotated.
3) Routines /item need to be automatically saved. I tapped ‘back’ and lost everything.
4) Need to be able to re-order list. This is VERY important as life changes and need to be able to make changes without having to remake the list
5) Undo button - when I accidentally added a choice had to delete the item and redo it all.

General review Although the app looks good it wasn’t functional to use. Besides editing challenges, when closed it opens at the home screen & the schedule is restarted. This means it can’t be used with other apps like a child’s AAC.
Items don’t need to be done in order. Tapping anywhere on the large box checks it off or makes it disappear making it hard for students/teachers to tap the audio. We need to be able to quickly and easily add, edit, modify & use.

What I liked What I like about this application is its ease of use. It is very helpful for children with special needs to access an application that displays them in an easy and friendly way their daily routines. A very important feature is that the application has the ability to add pictures and sounds.

Improvements In future versions I'd like to see the addition of alarms add to routines.
These alarms may be sounds that are included in the application, songs stored on your iPod or recordings made by the child or his teacher.
Another idea could be the addition of congratulations each time the child meets routine. It could be an applause, balloons going up to heaven, collectible stickers, etc.

General review I think it's a very good application.
It is very useful to help children with special abilities. It is a way of helping them to develop daily routines that other people are doing this activities without thinking. That children can view activities in pictures of themselves is a great way for them to incorporate into their routines.

What I liked This is a great app to create a quick and simple visual schedule for a child and/or adult. After getting used to the program it is easy to use and simple to design with your own personalized pictures. I feel it is very appropriate for all children, especially those with disabilities. Besides as a basic schedule, it also provides parents and educators with the ability to teach children how to learn their basic daily routines. I found it easy to make a routine for washing hands and brushing teeth that can be useful as an everyday learning routine.

Improvements Things that I would like to see integrated into a newer version:
- Additional pictures- Having only 11 pictures are very limiting to the app. If there were additional pictures it would help those using it as a start up with the program.
- An Example Schedule or User Guide- This will help people learn how to set up schedules and what can be included in a schedule. Many people do not know how to properly integrate a schedule into daily life so proper knowledge it helpful.
- Expanding Options- New options such as a bank of prerecorded sounds & the ability to have Multiple Profiles would be nice.

General review I like that this app does not have to have pictures for schedules. It gives the ability to create both word schedules and picture schedules to meet the various needs of different learners. Compared to other scheduling apps that are out there this is simple to use but has limitations. I think that it is a great price for the type of app that it is but with some modifications and updates it has the potential to be an overall amazing app.
